8 - Client lagging/freezing
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load Addon
2. Let the Boss Ready addon showed when combat starts (use /br combat)
3. Enter combat/let your party enter combat
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I experience serious lagging/little freezes when combat starts with me having BR addon showed in combat. If I use /br combat to hide addon when I or my party enters combat, lags suddenly will stop.
What version of the product are you using?
v0.6
Do you have an error log of what happened?
No
Please provide any additional information below.
I can't use /br hide to hide it manually. It will be nice to have "minimap" button also to show/hide/configure Boss Ready addon.

Pericles Dec 07, 2011 at 17:03 UTC - 0 likesIndeed there are issues with the amount of data particularly health & mana changes being processed by the client. At various points it has been suggested that Client optimisations for this will be available hopefully in time for patch 1.6.1 until then I strongly recommend using the option to hide in combat.
In fact I may just remove the option to display the addon in combat as the performance of the v1.6 client is unacceptable.
